DESCRIPTION:This day course looks at the remarkable uses of the Lime tree with particular reference to the bark. You will learn how to work with the bark at the time of year that it can be separated from the wood\, with a little bit of know how\, in order to make to make some outstanding containers of various sizes. You will also work with the retted bark and create some amazing lengths of string/rope learning about how useful this has been throughout European history. On top of this you will also spend time making a simple matt or basket using strips of the bark gathered during the day. 9.30am to 4.30pm \n
